What is Daxxify®?
Daxxify® is a new FDA-approved injectable treatment created to improve frown lines and last up to twice as long as other brands of injectables. Long-lasting Daxxify® is powered by a novel peptide–a formulation like no other. The peptide helps stabilize the active ingredient, instead of using human blood products like conventional frown line treatments. Daxxify® may last up to twice as long as conventional frown line treatments for some. Most conventional frown line treatments last 3-4 months. At least 50% of patients in clinical studies had no or minor frown lines 6 months after treatment with Daxxify®. In other safety studies, between 5% and 17% of patients still had noticeable improvement 9 months later. 96% of people were satisfied with the results.
Daxxify®—How it Works
Certified dermatology nurse, Shelbey Keller, LPN, has had more advanced training in injections. With her history of working in Plastic Surgery, then in Mohs micrographic surgery, she has seen first-hand the intricate layers of what is under the skin. The importance of knowing where the muscle actions, origins, and insertions are help to truly understand how to inject Botox properly. Shelbey loves education, and attends conferences or trainings any chance she can, keeping her up to date on the newest techniques.

Does Daxxify® hurt?
No! A very thin needle is all that is needed for Daxxify® injections. Fortunately, there is no need for anesthesia of any kind. Our patients remain awake during treatment since the entire process is practically painless.
How long do these procedures take and how long do they last?
Daxxify® treatments require just one office visit that lasts 15-30 minutes. You may see results after a few days, but it can take up to a week to see the full results. Daxxify® lasts six to nine months, and our patients usually average 2 treatments a year.
